A special thanks to our Foyer Club volunteers

With Volunteers’ Week taking place between 1-7 June this year, there isn’t a better opportunity for us at The Octagon Theatre and Westlands Entertainment Venue to say thank you to our Foyer Club volunteers.

Here at The Octagon Theatre and Westlands Entertainment Venue, we want to recognise the invaluable contribution that all of our Foyer Club members make to help keep our venues running. From taking tickets to seeing you to your seat, our Foyer Club undertake a vast range of duties that we simply would not be able to do without their volunteering.

Arts & Entertainment Venues Manager, Adam Burgan, said: “I want to say a very big thank you to everyone who volunteers at our venues and helps to keep them going. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to provide these fantastic facilities for our patrons to enjoy. The Foyer Club has also helped us to raise funds and purchase key equipment such as radios and headsets, plus purchasing the theatre’s very own grand piano to avoid paying to rent a piano for all of the classical concerts throughout the year. They are also playing an integral role with fundraising for the Octagon development, including our Name A Seat campaign.”

In the last full year operating before the coronavirus pandemic, the Foyer Club volunteered a total of 3,725 days.

Volunteers’ Week is a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make to our communities and say thank you. So from everyone here at the Octagon Theatre and Westlands Entertainment Venue, thank you.
