Beat the January blues and try something new for 2026. To kick start the new year we are hosting a day of taking part, where all our weekly classes will be open to try out and have a go.
Each week we host 25 classes for all ages and abilities to take part in, so whether you already attend weekly classes or want to try out our classes for the first time, this is a great opportunity to get involved, have fun and meet new people.
Come along to our taster day this January to try out one or more of our participation classes for just £1 a session. If you love to sing were born to dance, have a flair for acting or simply want to get fit, we have a class for you.

Mini and Me
Mini & Me is a class designed for you and your little ones to fuse movement and precious moments together to all YOUR favourite tunes. No nursery rhymes here, just the latest greatest music and some dance steps that are easy enough for even your little walkers to copy.
Devised for you and your mini-me, 0-3 years of age, you can dance whilst wearing your baby in a carrier OR allow them to dance along themselves. Mum's attending with babies must have received their all clear 6 week check from the GP before booking class. Please note, babies are worn in carriers at the parent/guardian’s own risk. Maximum of 2 children per paying adult and your children are your own responsibility.
Suitable for: 0 – 3-year-olds with an adult, no experience needed

ChiChi CHAIR
ChiChi Chair perfectly embraces the ChiChi Fit philosophy of being fully inclusive so everyone can enjoy the benefits. ChiChi CHAIR is specifically for individuals with limited mobility who have complications standing during fitness and provides a great low-impact way to keep moving.

G’s Dance: Heels Class
A unique style of class that enables you to unleash your inner King or Queen in a way you've never been able to before in Yeovil. Heels (or no heels!) this class will teach you the technique of strutting, dancing and absolutely loving yourself to a new song every week. Intermediate Level Class confidence building atmosphere from start to finish!
Suitable for: 18+, Some dance experience needed.

Octagon Street Dance: Juniors & Seniors
Energetic, lively classes which improve fitness, flexibility, co-ordination and confidence. Learn some funky moves with all your favourite music.
Suitable for: Everyone aged 5-15, No experience needed.

Octagon Junior Choir
Following on from their appearance at The Royal Albert Hall earlier in the year, come and join the Octagon Junior Choir for a fun session exploring the world of singing, a perfect taster before joining the weekly classes.

ChiChi FIT
ChiChi Fit is a Musical Theatre inspired, dance fitness program designed to suit everyone. You don't need dance experience, and the class is suitable for varying fitness/ability levels. Let the music and lyrics guide you through and you'll shimmy, smile, sweat and feel fabulous!

Silver Swans
A session open to all 50 plus whether you’re an experienced dancer, have briefly dabbled, or are a complete novice, we welcome all older learners of any ability.
It’s never too late to enjoy ballet, and you’ll glide out of the studio feeling unstoppable.

Octagon Youth Theatre: Juniors & Seniors
In our youth theatre session, you’ll play lots of drama games, create and tell your own stories. Our sessions are designed to build confidence and are the perfect opportunity to make new friends and have fun. You don’t need any experience to join our Octagon Youth Theatre, just bring energy and a willingness to get creative.
Suitable for: Everyone aged 7-18, No experience needed.

THUMKA: Bollywood Dance
Ever watched Bollywood dancing and thought ‘I’d love to give that a go’? well now is the perfect opportunity. Bollywood Dance is a fantastic workout with a feel-good factor and the word ‘Thumka’ is a classic Bollywood Dance move that directly translates from Hindi to mean ‘Dance’.
Suitable for: Everyone 16+, No experience needed.

Somerset Graduate Dancers
A session aimed to give Somerset Dancers an opportunity to continue training with other dancers from a range of backgrounds. Regular sessions build & create Contemporary performance pieces and explore a variety techniques and repertoire. As well as exploring choreography, these sessions will help dancers maintain flexibility and strength through yoga inspired practices.
Suitable for: 18+ years, Previous dance training required, or currently studying dance.

Somerset Youth Dance Tinys
A fun class for all those young ones that just can’t stop dancing! Join the Somerset Youth Dance team for lots of fun dancing learning a variety of dance styles. Their own personal styles and creative ideas are encouraged throughout, helping them build confidence and self-esteem!

Line Dancing
Come and join Lasso Leanne and have a go at this popular Line Dancing for All class! No partner needed—just bring yourself and your enthusiasm! With easy-to-follow routines to a mix of music styles, from country to pop, so everyone can join in. No pressure, just fun!

Somerset Youth Dance Seniors
Our brand-new Seniors Class is perfect for young dancers who are passionate about all styles of movement. Whether you're dreaming of the spotlight or just love to dance, this class brings exciting performance opportunities, fresh choreography and nonstop energy!

Jazz Dance
This feel-good Jazz class is the perfect mix of technique, conditioning and dynamic end-of-class combos. Perfect those pirouettes, lengthen those kicks and wow with your jumps! Open to all abilities, dancers will enjoy dancing to jazz classics from stage to film, all whilst building confidence and having fun.

Beginners Tap
Get those toes tappin' with a fun session, great for developing rhythm, co-ordination and keeping fit. Never tried tap before, then this is the perfect beginner’s class for you. A chance to see what the buzz is about.
