Covid-19 Precautions
Hand Sanitisation
Hand sanitising stations will remain in place around each of our venues and we would encourage you to use these frequently whilst moving around the venues.
Enhanced Cleaning
Our rigorous programme of cleaning high ‘touch points’ and seats after each event will remain in place across each of the venues, and wherever possible ventilation will be maximised.
Positive Covid-19?
As we are a 'See it Safely' venue, if you have received a positive Covid-19 test result within 3 days of your booking, or you have been notified by NHS England that you are required to self isolate, please email octagontheatre@southsomerset.gov.uk or call the Box Office on 01935 422884.
We will endeavour wherever possible to move your tickets to an alternative date. If no alternative performance date is available, we can credit your customer record.
In order for an exchange or credit to be issued, please send proof of a positive covid test via email no later than 4 hours before the performance starts to octagontheatre@southsomerset.gov.uk
We are unable to offer ticket returns and credits after the show date has already happened.
Accepted proof is either a date stamped photo of a positive LFT or an email/screenshot of details provided by the NHS of a positive test.

Book Online:
Customers booking online are able to choose their seats.
If this will be the first time you have used the on-line booking system, we recommend you set up your account before proceeding to buy tickets or choose seats. We will send a confirmation of your password to your email address and you will then be able to book your seats.
PLEASE NOTE:
As a general rule we do not allow single seats to be left unoccupied when you are booking. It is hard for us to fill lots of single seats, as most bookings are made for two or more people; and so our website will not let you leave an empty seat between booked seats or at the end of a row. If you receive this warning, please look elsewhere in the auditorium for your seats, we are very lucky to not have a 'bad seat' in our well laid out auditorium. If you require specific seating for accessibility reasons please call the Box Office.

Babes In Arms Policy
Under 2's will be admitted free of charge to children's shows, but parents must obtain a special ticket from the Box Office on arrival at the theatre.
For all other shows we kindly request patrons contact the Box Office in advance to ascertain whether a performance is deemed to be suitable for young babies by the Management of the Octagon Theatre. If considered to be the case, a ticket will be issued free of charge with the understanding that parents sit near an aisle and be prepared to remove themselves from the auditorium if their baby becomes unsettled. The Octagon Theatre is a family friendly venue and we are happy to assist parents wherever possible, but must also consider our other patrons enjoyment of the theatre and ensure they are not disrupted during performances.
PLEASE NOTE:
Babes in Arms tickets for all performances permit under 2's to sit on the lap of a parent. If a parent wishes to have a separate seat for their baby they must purchase a ticket accordingly.
