Nurse Nellie Saves Panto!

Due to ongoing restrictions, we have sadly had to make the decision to cancel the remaining performances of Nurse Nellie Saves Panto due to go ahead this Easter. 

It is with a heavy heart that we have made this decision but we all feel it is now time to focus on the GREATEST GOLDEN EGG OF THEM ALL - MOTHER GOOSE, coming to The Octagon Theatre this Christmas from Fri 3 Dec 2021 - Sun 2 Jan 2022!

Mother Goose will be written by our usual pantomime producer, Paul Hendy and will feature everything you’ve come to know and love about the spectacular Octagon Theatre pantomimes…. great jokes, wonderful singing and dazzling sets and costumes.

Don’t miss this fun-sized festive treat for the whole family starring our regular panto stars, GORDON COOPER, JACK GLANVILLE AND THOM FORD.  When a baddie steals the joy of pantomime, will Nurse Nellie and her friends manage to rescue it?  Oh yes they will! 

Written by our regular pantomime producer, PAUL HENDY, and with a cast of five, this hilarious, socially distanced, 75-minute extravaganza will feature all your favourite panto moments including great musical numbers; the cart routine; and, of course, the famous ghost gag bench (‘well, we’ll have to do it again then, won’t we?!’) 

Joyous, funny and uplifting, this really is a must-see show and the perfect medicine for a year of missed fun!!

Seating Plan

The auditorium seating plan is slightly different for Nurse Nellie Saves Panto, with social distancing measures in place to ensure a safe visit to Somerset's Premier Theatre.

Seating is arranged into various group sizes, all seats within that grouped section must be purchased when buying tickets online, if you cannot find an arrangement that suits the size of your party, please call the Box Office on 01935 422 884.

Protect your booking against Covid related illness!

Purchase ticket protection alongside your Nurse Nellie Saves Panto tickets to protect your booking should you be affected directly by Covid 19. This service costs £1 per ticket.

If you purchase this cover then refunds will be allowed for the following reasons only;

1. If you test positive for COVID 19.
2. If you experience COVID 19 symptoms in the 14 days prior to your booking.
3. If you are in close proximity to anyone who has experienced COVID 19 symptoms in the 14 days before your booked performance.
4. If you have been instructed to self-isolate and can no longer attend your performance.

Refund requests must be made by emailing the Box Office at octagontheatre@southsomerset.gov.uk or calling 01935 422884 before the performance start time of the booking. Once the performance date and time has passed for the selected tickets we will be unable to issue any refunds. The £1 per ticket charge is non-refundable.

Tickets without this cover will be subject to our standard terms and conditions of sale which are that unless the performance is cancelled tickets are non-refundable.

We know that at the moment, with extra restrictions things are more uncertain and there may be concerns that your trip to the panto could be disrupted. We want to look after our customers as a priority but also need to balance the financial impact the pandemic has had on The Octagon Theatre and the costs associated with staging a production.

If your performance is cancelled you will be entitled to a full refund. If the performance does go ahead but you are unable to attend due to COVID illness, symptoms or the need to self-isolate we will not be in a position to refund or exchange your tickets without purchasing this ticket cover as we would be unable to resell your tickets and the cost of staging the production will still need to be covered. Therefore we encourage all customers to protect their booking by adding this service.
